Mental Health First-Aid
WHAT IT IS
This 6.5 hour in person course or blended virtual course educates and informs parents, teachers and building leaders on how to best help the students they are serving, and children they are raising. It introduces adults to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches individuals how to help youth in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.
Parents — Learn how to help and support your child in a healthy way.
Teachers — Inform your day-to-day practice with students, know the “look-fors”, and learn the best language to be use.
Principals — Learn how to readjust your approach and build a culture of awareness and remove the stigma of mental health.

This workshop is designed for parents, educators and building leaders. Up to 30 people at a time.
